Digital Fluency, Hashtags, and Reinventing Work – on Business Over Coffee

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of being interviewed by Sherri Henley on her blogtalk radio show, Business over Coffee. I finally had the chance to listen to it myself and wanted to share with you ICYMI! We talk about:

  • my use of social media to meet people and to build my business
  • the need for Digital Fluency
  • why hashtags are a must on Twitter
  • how I met my business partner on Twitter
  • Impact99 and its evolution to the Reinvent Work Summit (happening in Toronto on May 19!)
  • going ROWE (check out the certification workshop happening in Toronto in June!) and how this type of reinvention can help leaders manage depression and mental illness in the workplace
  • the problem with disengagement and opportunity to engage people’s whole selves in their work
  • how our social media community rallied together to support our friend through a tragedy in his life
  • challenging assumptions and beliefs about business and work
  • how CULTURE is created by ACTION not intention
  • the new eBook, How Social Media is Changing Business… and what to do about it
  • how business communication has changed from controlled and broadcasted to collaborative and transparent
  • the Zero Moment of Truth (ZMOT) and how it is affecting your customers
  • engaging employees in the purpose of your company and in sharing your culture online
  • how the conversation about how technology is changing business and leadership is a broad one that is being engaged in with business leaders from all disciplines
  • my goal to have people leave my presentations ready to try something new and different
  • how to impact the world of work for EVERYONE

This is the right web site for anybody who hopes to understand this topic. You understand so much its almost tough to argue with you (not that I actually would want to…HaHa). You certainly put a new spin on a subject which has been discussed for a long time. Excellent stuff, just excellent!
